All Space Imperial Ships Explained (Foc)

Starfighters

  • TIE Fighter – Cheap, fast interceptors used for swarming enemy starfighters. No shields, fragile but effective in numbers.
  • TIE Bomber – Heavily armed with proton torpedoes and bombs, specialized for attacking capital ships and space stations. Slow and vulnerable without escort.
  • TIE Scout – Light reconnaissance craft. Detects mines and cloaked units; weak in combat.

Escort & Support Ships

  • Tartan Patrol Cruiser – Small anti-starfighter frigate with rapid-fire laser cannons. Designed to counter Rebel fighter swarms. Weak against capital ships.
  • Broadside Cruiser (KDB-1 Missile Ship) – Long-range bombardment ship armed with heavy concussion missile launchers. Fragile up close; needs protection.

Capital Ships

  • Acclamator I-class Assault Ship – Early warship, relatively cheap, carries fighters and bombs enemies with turbolasers and proton torpedoes. Good mid-game backbone unit.
  • Victory-class Star Destroyer – Heavier than the Acclamator. Strong shields, carries TIE squadrons, and packs powerful turbolasers. Slower than Rebel equivalents.
  • Interdictor Cruiser (Immobilizer 418) – Special support capital ship equipped with gravity well generators that prevent enemy hyperspace retreat. Also carries TIE squadrons.
  • Imperial-class Star Destroyer – The Empire’s iconic capital ship. Heavy turbolasers, strong shields, large garrison of TIE squadrons. Dominates most battles.

Superweapons & Flagships

  • Executor (Super Star Destroyer) – Massive SSD introduced in Forces of Corruption. Overwhelming firepower, immense durability, carries many squadrons. Functions as the ultimate Imperial warship.
  • Death Star II – The Empire’s planet-killing battle station. Can destroy planets on the Galactic map. In battle, it has extremely strong defenses but must be protected from concentrated fire.

Heroes / Command Units

  • Fleet Commander (Hero Unit) – Provides fleetwide bonuses to combat performance. Doesn’t fight directly but increases unit effectiveness.
